In order to recognise the quality of research presented in Water Supply, we have introduced an annual Best Paper Award.
To qualify for this award, your paper must be included in one of the issues from that publication year. A shortlist of outstanding papers is created from Editor Recommendations and marks, which were assessed, in regards to scientific excellence, relevance to practice, and overall presentation.
The winner of this award, will receive the following: a book voucher worth $250 and their winning paper will be made Open Access.
The Inaugural Best Paper Award goes to Sandis Dejus, Alīna Neščerecka, Ģirts Kurcalts and Tălis Juhna from Riga Technical University in Latvia, for their contribution entitled:

This paper – published in 2018 Volume 18 Issue 6 of Water Supply – introduced a seemingly simple yet novel and elegant method. Its practical applicability was nicely demonstrated and performance evaluated using real-world data, with clearly argued conclusions.
